About The Artist:
Gloria Dawson Teats began her formal art training in 1977, studying in classes taught by Gladys Baker Bond, who in turn studied under one of America's masters, Thomas Hart Benton.
Gloria considers herself lucky to have had that opportunity and at that time in her life she seriously "got hooked on painting". Through the years, she has continued studying with well known artists such as Delbert Gish, WM Reese, Davil Leffel, Ted Geoshner and Matt Smith among others.
Born and raised and living on ranches in central Idaho, Gloria is known for her landscapes in oils and her paintings reflect the splendor of this part of the country. Her favorite subjects come from the Salmon River, Hell's Canyon and the Seven Devils Mountains. She is an award winning artist known for her clear colors and expressive brush work.
She has been teaching enthusiastic students for over 30 years.
