About The Artist
Debbie Barnett was raised in Meadows Valley and has spent most of her life ranching. Art has always played an important role in her life. Her non-artist hours are still spent on the business of raising registered Angus cattle but the cattle and ranch add to the subject matter for her art.
She paints and draws many subjects from wildlife and farm animals to pets, landscapes, people and florals. Her goal is to record the disappearing history and legacy of ranching.
She works in graphite, colored pencil, acrylics and oil and paints on most any material.
She is a member of the the Salmon River Art Guild and the Hells Canyon Art Guild.
Debbie accepts commissions. She also shows her work in the various art shows throughout Idaho.
